Issues or Bugs

Help us improve AOL Reader by sharing with us any bugs you have encountered!

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. 'N' and 'P' hotkeys still navigate do not mark articles as 'read'

Until recently the N and P hotkeys would browse [N]ext and [P]revious articles in the news feed while marking articles as "read". Seemingly without rhyme or reason this functionality has been broken.

The J/K hotkeys serve the same function but I much prefer the N/P combo; if only out of habit and for the ease of remembering which key performs which function. One could argue that J and K have no inherent meaning as navigational controls but there is no harm in supporting both methods.

Please return the old functionality for N and P as navigational hotkeys. This is important…

      • Middle Button not working for opening article in new tab

Middle Button not working for opening article in new tab .

        Current behavior :
When clicking on a article title with the middle button nothing happens.

        Expected behavior :
When clicking on a article title it should open the article page in a new tab but the browser should remain in the current tab.

        My system info :
        User-Agent : Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.

<span> attributes in the title should be interpreted or sanitized away,
but not be ignored, i.e. written in verbatim..

          The feed
          http://packages.gentoo.org/feed/arch/amd64/stable
uses them, never found it to be a problem.

          An example:
          <span class="cpvstr">media-radio/xdx-2.4.2</span>: <span class="description">a GTK+ TCP/IP DX-cluster and ON4KST chat client.</span>

          Should be:
          media-radio/xdx-2.4.2: a GTK+ TCP/IP DX-cluster and ON4KST chat client

          Thanks
          and cudos for the implementation.
