New Tab in Foreground or Background Toggle

Clicking on the title of an article to go to the original web page opens a new tab in the background. Would be useful to be able to have a toggle option under "settings" to open in the foreground.

I agree with "Ivan Bailey" and "Richard's" suggestion also.

This is still broken using Firefox 17 ESR on Win XP - control click opens the tab in the Foreground (as does shift-click)

You haven't fixed that. cmd+click in Tor Browser Bundle opens new tab but not in the background. My middle mouse button still doesn't open any page in the background tab as it does for all other pages.

There are several similar reports. Standard on PCs is to be able to Control-Left Click to open a new tab behind the reader (Firefox, Chrome).

The workaround (right-click and Open in New Tab) is not long-term acceptable. By the way, AOL has the same problem in AOL Mail, where a control-left click does not open a link in an email message into a new background tab
